Our school in Radiokop has been established since 1995. In October 2008 we opened our doors to our additional school in Featherbrooke Estate which borders Ruimsig. Both schools run on the same basis and enjoy a compliment of qualified, dedicated, caring and experienced team of Directresses.To ensure the nurturing of our children and the implementation of the Montessori Philosophies the ratio of children to teachers is 10-1

Janet Clarke Owner and Principal completed her ‘traditional’ training in Pre-Primary education in the UK and trained in the Montessori Method with the Montessori Academy in South Africa. Sally our deputy principal and Sue also trained with the Montessori Academy, whilst Alex, Claire, Megan, Gwyneth and Cindy trained with the College of Modern Montessori. Sandra completed her training with Montessori Africa. Susan and Esther are our Assistant Directresses both being highly experienced. Every staff member is trained in First Aid and CPR.
Ground staff consists of David our general handyman and gardener and Innocent our Security Man and general worker, both have been with us for many years.

School Hours

We welcome children from 2 years of age. 

Our school hours are 7.30am to 1.00pm

School opens at 7.15am. Our peace circle begins promptly at 8.20am. Please arrive in time in order for your child to derive the most benefit from the environment, and thus will not cause disruption for the other children who may be already working.

Please make your goodbyes short and feel confident that your child’s security and interest in his friends, teachers and the materials will over-ride any temporary anxiety in separating from you!

Extra Mural Programmes

Kanga Gym

Jane Fidler visits our school each Thursday morning. She is a qualified gym instructor and provides a gross motor development programme suitable for the relevant age groups. All children participate in the programme.

Be Sharp Beetles

On Wednesdays Anita visits with the Be Sharp Beetles Music Programme. All children participate in the programme.
